The Gunnison Creative District has stepped into a lot of new movements to support and uplift creativity in the valley. The district runs the 20 year tradition of First Fridays Art Walk and Music. New this year we will be hosting a farmers market booth to support up and coming local artists, we are running a biking Studio Tour weekend for Artists and Makers, we feature an “Artist of the month” of a different medium in the Gunnison Times, and we avidly promote local art classes and events through our social platforms, as well as co-host a FREE valley-wide creative directory. We are applying for various grants to bring murals, educational programming and access for artists and creatives here. We are honored to do all of this and grateful for any support you can provide.

The Gunnison Creative District is committed to implementing new Public Art in our district. In 2023 we successfully completed three murals, in 2024 we have three more in the works. This Donation will go towards bring more public art to Gunnison in the form of murals and sculptural artwork.
