Made possible by a generous grant from Arts in Society and the City of Gunnison, over 100 community members participated in focus groups and paint days to create a landmark mural that celebrates the immigrant experience, culture and contributions to American society. Luke Schroder was the artistic director, with Yamel Palacios Aguirre as the assistant artist and Ricardo Esqueda as the city liaison and organizer. Located on the ‘Tacos La Esquina’ building at 12th and Tomichi.
